Digging up my family tree... and all the dirt too!

Ok so there really isn't that much dirt. There are a few juicy stories from way back, but really that wasn't my intention when I started researching my family tree.   I've always been fascinated by the stories that my family told, especially my grandmother's stories about the "pirate"  I've been researching my family's history for several years now and decided that it was time to share my findings. Why? Well I don't know, maybe just so that there will be a record for future generations or maybe it will help someone else find a missing link in their family research. Who knows, but here goes....
